I read an article today that said many "picky eaters" also have issues with specific or all colors. It suggested using a color wheel and "color of the day" to introduce new foods and ideas into a child's life. (Example: Green day -- Green beans, peas, broccoli. Orange day -- Sweet potatoes, carrots. Yellow day -- Corn.... So on and so forth.) Things can be dyed with food coloring, outfits coordinated with the day... Sounds like a good idea. Not only would it help teach a child about colors, but produce less picky eaters since it would introduce them to a range of foods. I'd love to hear thoughts about this from people with kids or pregnant with a child.
