Yesterday was quite a fun day. Ashley, Hannah, and I went to the beach for the day. We all had tons of fun playing in the water, sitting in the sun, and making fun of other people.You know, normal beach activities. I ended up getting the worst and most splotchy sunburn of my life. Its pretty hilarious looking but at the same time. Its looking a little better today, but once I get into the sun it looks so terrible. I guess I should have made sure I had some better sunscreen I suppose. Or that it at least covered evenly. Oh well, lesson learned.

Afterward we headed to downtown Savannah to eat dinner since we all were starving and then showed Hannah the chocolate bar since she had never gone. Note to the world: Fondue and Water don't really taste "decadent" together... But they sure make your sunburn feel better for a while. After eating and finishing our fondue, we walked around Savannah for a bit (I think we were lost, but Ashley assures me she knew where she was heading the whole time.) and then finally got in the car and came home.
Hannah is still currently in my guest bed knocked out. (Staying awake for nearly 36 hours can do that to you I guess.) I'm thinking that we're going to go help Ashley paint a little today and maybe I'll cook some dinner or something before Hannah has to head back home and go to work.
I'm really pretty thankful that I have friends here and that they are fun to hang out with and are making this deployment go by a little faster. I can't stand my husband being away from me, and I wish he was here to have fun (and wish my best friend was here to enjoy this stuff too!) but I know neither one can be right now so I'm just trying to make the best of all of it since that's all I really can do for the time being.
Oh best news of all?? Glee starts Sept 21. Haha. I'm so super excited. The picture here shows Ashley and I's excitement for Glee! haha.
